The Effects of Christ’s Blood.
1 We are Justified by his blood
Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
2 &3 We have redemption and forgiveness through his blood.
Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins:
4 We are made nigh (close) by the blood of Christ.
Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
5 We have peace through the blood.
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven.
6 It is the blood that washes away our sins
Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
1Jo 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
But not just any blood will do.
Heb 10:4 For [it is] not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us].
1Pe 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
It is only the precious blood of Christ that saves.
7 And if you have applied the blood, then you have boldness to enter into heaven.
Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
8 But punishment awaits those who consider the blood an unholy thing.
Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
The Bible says that he that despised Moses’ law died without mercy. So how much sorer punishment for those who hath counted the blood of the covenant an unholy thing.
The blood brings us justification, redemption, forgiveness, and peace. It is the blood that brings us close to Christ and washes away our sins. Christ shedding his blood was necessary for us to have redemption. Have you applied the shed Blood of Christ to the door posts of your heart? Have you been washed in the Blood? Have your sins been put under the Blood so they can be washed away?
