These websites are not about me. They are about The Word of God.
The Bible says "He must increase, but I must decrease". The
focus needs to be on Christ.
However, I do understand that you clicked on this page to get information that
would help you decide if you are going to listen to me or not.
So who am I: My name is Bryan Hansen.
I am the Husband of one wife and she is the wife of my youth.
I was born again at the age of 34.
I am currently enrolled in the School of Biblical and Theological Studies.
I have received my Diploma of Biblical Studies,
but I am still working on my Associates Degree.
I am not a Pastor of a Church. I am serving
in a local church. I am teaching the Lamplighter Sunday school class at
North Valley Baptist Church. I do love the
Word of God. I do believe that an Almighty God who promised to preserve
His Word is powerful enough to do it.
Psa 12:6 The words of the
LORD [are] pure words: [as] silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven
times.
Psa 12:7 Thou shalt keep
them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
If He could overcome time (over
1500 years) and the sin of man to give us the perfect inspired original
autographs, then He could overcome time and the sin of man to preserve
them! So His perfect Word must be with us somewhere. God is also
not the author of confusion and God cannot lie. So if there is more than
one version of His Word, then not only is that confusion, but one of them is a
lie because they do not say the same thing! Therefore only one can be
the Word of God, and His preserved Word is to be found in the English language
in the KJV. I came to my belief in the KJV thru many months of study. What I
found is that all the Bibles do not say the same thing. Oh they might in many
places. But keep in mind that the Devil is very subtle. He likes to change
God's word. A little here and a little there. Other Bibles contain the Word
of God but they are not the pure Word of God. They will contain subtle changes
and errors.
Go back to the first mention of the wicked one in the Garden of Eden and
watch real close what he said. Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil
than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the
woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Then Eve responds; Gen 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of
the fruit of the trees of the garden: Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God
hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye
die.
Then the Devil responds: Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye
shall not surely die:
I want you to notice four things.
1) It says that the devil is subtil. He will not change everything that
God said.
2) His form of attack was to cast doubt on what God said. he said "Yea, hath
God said"
3) And after the devil cast doubt on God's Word, Eve changed the Word of God.
Eve changed what God said by
adding "neither shall ye touch it" Go back and read what God actually said. Gen
2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of
it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. God only
said that they could not eat it. God did not say that they could not touch it.
The Devils first act was to cast doubt on God's Word and the result was a subtle
change to God's Word. And he has not departed from this method.
4)The Devil then challenged God's Word; Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the
woman, Ye shall not surely die:
So the first thing that you need to understand is that the devil does
challenge and attack
God's Word and that the different versions do not agree with each other. There
are serious differences.
I found in my studies that there are actually two different lines of Greek
manuscripts. The one line is the Traditional text. This line is in almost
complete agreement and has over 5,000 manuscripts. This line also lines up with
the writings of the early church fathers who often quoted scripture in their
writings (which are older than the oldest manuscripts). This line also is in
agreement with the early translations into other languages. This line of
manuscripts is what was used for the KJV.
The other line of manuscripts only have less than 50 manuscripts. Less than
50. Many of them are fragmentary. And the two main manuscripts of this line
disagree with each other over 3000 times in the gospels alone. One of these
main manuscripts has signs of being changed and tampered with by at least ten
different scribes thru the centuries. All of the other English Bibles come from
this line of corrupt manuscripts. A corrupt tree cannot produce pure fruit.
Now understand that I just do not say that I believe that the
KJV is the Word of God, I really believe it. Many will say that they
believe in the KJV, but they will turn right around and change it by going to
the Greek. I do believe that it is ok to go to the Greek but after you
are done, the meaning that you have needs to line up with God's Word.
Greek is ok to clarify from time to time, BUT NOT to change the meaning.
I have heard many many preachers go to the Greek and come back with a total
different English word with a totally different meaning. That is wrong. In these
cases they are showing that they really do not believe God's Word. In these
cases they believe the dictionary to be inspired and not God's Word.
They are showing by their actions that what they believe is
that God messed up in His preservation of His Word and God must rely on them
to correct it for you. When they change the meaning of the Bible with
the Greek, then they are putting a
Greek dictionary above the Word of God. They trust the dictionary
more. They believe the dictionary more. Listen, the dictionary was
written by lost people! Listen, God never promised to inspire or
preserve a Greek dictionary! The purpose of the Greek dictionary is to
tell you what the word means in English. Well I already have that in the KJV. It tells me perfectly what the Greek words mean.
Granted you can sometimes get shades of meaning from the Greek, but only shades
of meaning. If the meaning that you get from the dictionary is different,
then the dictionary is wrong. Greek dictionaries do have errors in them. And unlike
the Greek dictionary the KJV will be without errors. This
correcting of God's Word is dangerous because it leaves the congregation with several
false impressions. It leaves them with the thought that I cannot understand
God's Word and I need a man to correct it for me. Remember I am talking about
using Greek to Correct and not Clarify. There is a Big difference.
It also leaves them with the impression that the Bible is not trustworthy.
Because according to what the preacher just said the Bible does not mean what it
says.
The teaching that you can understand God's Word for yourself is Biblical. In
fact the Bible says that you need to be saved to understand it.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are
spiritually discerned.
The things of God are spiritually discerned. You receive the Spirit at
salvation. A natural man cannot understand the things of God.
People don't need an easier Bible to read, they don't need a Bible with
errors and conflicts, they need to get saved.
As far as the easiest Bible to read it is the KJV. They have tests that they
use to determine the reading level of books for our schools. You would not want
to give 2nd graders a 8th grade textbook right? When these tests are applied to
the different Bible versions. The KJV scores overall at the lowest reading grade
level. Much of the KJV is between the 6th and 8th grade reading level.
If you have passed Junior High you can read the KJV.
Understanding needs to come from God.
Jam 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all
[men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
We need to humble ourselves before we read God's Word and pray and ask Him to
give us wisdom, instead of using corrupted manuscripts to create more and more
different Bibles that have more and more changes here and there. That only leads
to confusion. And remember God is not the author of confusion.
1Co 14:33 For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all
churches of the saints.
Just try to remember the other versions contain the Word of God but they
are not the Perfect Word of God. That God is all powerful. He can do what He
says. He said that He would preserve His Word. I believe that He did.
God also told us not to add to His Word or take away from His Word.
Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy
of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the
plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this
prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the
holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.
Deu 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not
add thereto, nor diminish from it.
Changing God's Word is serious and we should not do it with corrupted
manuscripts and we should not do it by using an uninspired dictionary.
I know that my Biblical position is not very popular and that it will cost me
many visitors. I hope that you understand that I am not trying to pick a fight
with anyone. But I must stand for what is right. It is not men that I will have
to answer to but God.
The
question you had when you clicked on this page was who is this guy and why
should I listen to him. The best answer I can give is that I have been
called of God to do this, and I really truly believe God's Word. The choice
is up to you.
